Many restaurants in Dalyan serve meze - those delicious small sharing plates that make the most delicious buffet meal to share with friends and family on a warm summers evening.
Dips, salads, fried morsels, stuffed vegetables, meat, fish, vegetables, cheese - you name it there's meze made from it.
The very best meze are home made to family recipes using local, market fresh organic produce, local olive oil and lots of love. We have tried many meze dishes in many restaurants in Dalyan over the past 25 years..... all in the name of villa holiday research of course.
Our recommendation? Saki Restaurant on the river front because it serves the best, largest and freshest choice.
Handmade by Ayse and her family the same day, then delicately served by her daughter Binnaz with a cool beer, Raki or bottle of wine, the Meze at Saki are a total delight and highly recommended. There is no menu because the dishes change daily with what is fresh - and this is a family restaurant with traditional Turkish values on service - not a tourist money trap.
Must orders for us in season are: Midye Dolma (mussels stuffed with pine nuts, herbs and rice) Deniz Borulcesi (fresh Samphire) Biber Dolma (stuffed peppers) and Soslu Patlican (aubergines in tomato sauce with olive oil and garlic)
Although with 30 plus choices every evening you'll have great fun finding your own favourites - we did !
Note: No commission is ever taken for our advice to you. Our sole intention is to show our valued guests the best of Dalyan when you our staying with us.
